Lola Katherine Verran, a cherished soul whose life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and faith, passed away peacefully at her home in Attica, Michigan, on August 19, 2025. Born on December 27, 1953, Lola's journey was marked by an unwavering commitment to her family, her church, and her community.

Lola's life was a shared adventure with her beloved husband, Joe, whom she married in December 1998. Lola is survived by her children: Matt Verran, Holly (Bud) Connor, and their grandchildren, Kyle, Brittany, Katherine, Jessica, and Nick. Each of them was a precious gift to Lola, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

A pillar of strength and devotion, Lola was the loving sister to Donna (Bill) Alati, Barb Merril, Don Brown, and Susie Wilson. Her siblings will fondly remember her for her unwavering support and the countless cherished memories they created together.

She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Bobbie Brown, daughters Sharon and Jennifer, and son Joe.

Lola's faith was the cornerstone of her life, and as an active member of the Lapeer Church of Christ, she lived her Christian beliefs through her actions and words. Her dedication to her faith community was evident in her involvement and the love she shared with her church family.

Lola's interests were a reflection of her love for the simple pleasures in life. She found joy in tending to her flower beds, working around her yard, and ensuring that her home was a welcoming sanctuary for all who entered. Her love for cleaning was not just about maintaining order but about creating a space where family and friends could gather and feel at home.

Described by those who knew her as thoughtful, generous, and selfless, Lola lived her life in service to others. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone she met feel valued and loved. Her gentle spirit and kind heart left an indelible mark on her community and all who had the fortune to cross paths with her.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Lola's Life will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Lapeer Chruch of Christ. Preacher Robert Curry officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville. Memorial contributions in memory of Lola may be made to her church.
