Lonnie Dickey
Soft-spoken. Steady. Deeply loved.
Lonnie Dickey, a kind and gentle soul whose quiet strength touched everyone who knew him, gained his angel wings on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, surrounded by love.
Born on December 14, 1959, in the town of Skowhegan, Maine, Lonnie lived life on his own terms-honest, direct, and unafraid to simply listen. Though his words were few, they carried meaning; his presence alone was a comfort. He had a patient heart, a loyal spirit, and a deep devotion to family.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jody, together, they faced his illness with dignity, courage, and unwavering love. Though his battle was long, his strength and spirit never wavered. That love now takes on a new form-quieter, unseen, but no less real.
Lonnie's greatest joy was his family. He took pride in his children, Megan Lyn and her husband, Michael Miklos, and Garrett Lonnie and his wife, Valeria Coreas, and found endless delight in all six of his grandchildren: Ryker, Nayelie, Payton, Dylan, Tanner, and Zayanna. His love for them was steady and sure-shown through simple gestures, wise words, and the quiet example of a life well-lived.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mabel and Frank Dickey, and other very close family members fondly remembered. He is survived by his sisters, Debbie, Pam, and Ellen, along with many beloved family members who will forever hold his memory close.
Lonnie's legacy lives on in the kindness he showed, the integrity he embodied, and the gentle strength he passed down to those who loved him most.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to local animal shelters, to pass on the love he had for furry-legged friends, in his memory.
