Lonnie Wayne (Mac) McCutchen II, passed away June 12, 2025 at the age of 53. Mac was living and working in Gastonia, N.C. at the time of his death.
Mac was born May 11, 1972 in Florence a son of Shirley Marlow McCutchen and the late Wayne McCutchen. He graduated from Hartsville High School in 1990 and was employed as a foreman with Dry Otter Waterproofing.
Mac was an easy going, friendly guy who enjoyed being in the outdoors. He particularly loved hunting and fishing. He loved sports and the USC Gamecocks. He was especially proud to be an uncle. Most recently, he was so excited to be back in Hartsville to celebrate the 35th Class Reunion of HHS Class of 1990. He had so much fun seeing and catching up with his classmates.
Survivors: Partner, Melissa McHenry of Gastonia, Mother, Shirley McCutchen of Hartsville, Sister and Brother-in-law, Marla and Gino Prozzi of Hartsville, Nephews, Justin (Mallory) Prozzi of Charleston and Jacob (Hannah) Prozzi of Florence, Great-nephew, Rowan Prozzi of Florence, Aunts Betty Jo Yarborough of Sardis, Wanda (Dr. Mark) Ross of Florence and Vonnie Koeppel of Sumter and numerous beloved cousins and close friends. He also leaves behind his dog and best buddy, Arlo.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 18 at 4:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be following the service at the funeral Home. The service will be Live on Norton Funeral Home Face Book Page.
