Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Marvin and Fran (née Ostrow) Silverman, she grew up there before moving to Island Park, NY, where she lived for 25 years, then resided in Scottsdale, AZ, before settling down in East Brunswick 25 years ago.
A graduate from Chamberlain School of Nursing, she completed her undergrad in Mathematics at Stony Brook University, then furthering her education at University of Connecticut, graduating with a Masters in Mathematics.
In her leisure time, Lori enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, planning vacations, getting her nails done, binge watching shows and was described as a "Pitbull" when it came to caring for her children.
Surviving are her husband of 25 years, Michael Chevrette; her children, Matthew E. Chevrette and Robynne L. Chevrette of East Brunswick; her parents, Marvin and Fran Silverman of Wimauna, FL; her brother, Gary Silverman of Mastic Beach, NY; her sister, Mindy Poretsky and her husband, Scott, of Port Jefferson Station, NY, and her two pets, a dachshund named Chorizo and a cat named Charlie.
A chapel service will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at 9:45 AM, at MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. For directions, please visit our "Services" page.
