Lorraine F. (Mercier) Lacourse, age 90, passed away at Leominster Hospital on Saturday, December 13, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Lacourse, Sr., until his passing in 2001.
She was born in Lowell on January 4, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Lillian (Rodrigue) and Peter Mercier. Before becoming a devoted mother and staying home to take care of her children, she worked as a machine operator at Cains in Ayer.
Lorraine will be missed for a variety of little mementos and memories she left behind; her indulgence for Little Debbie snacks, her thrill for a scratch ticket, her quick wittedness, her love for Chinese food and fried clams, her fighter spirit, a satisfying challenge in a good word search and always being known to hand out a crisp five dollar bill.
Her family will remember her loving nature and willingness to give to those lives she enriched.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas Lacourse, Jr. and his wife, Rosemarie Sepe of Milan, NH and Kenneth Lacourse and his wife, Amy of Berlin, MA; her daughters, Ann Marie Mahan of Leominster and Kelly Tessier and her husband, Christopher of Shirley; her grandchildren, Christina Lee, Mathieu, Amanda, Boni, Joseph, Marcus, Christopher, Jr., Johnathan, Nicholas, Jaimee and Kaitlyn; her five great-grandchildren, Emilia, Madilyn, Lilibet, Valerie and Aurora; her sisters, Estelle Christman and her husband, Carl of Dracut and Gloria Gauthier and her husband, Paul of Laconia, NH; as well as many extended family and friends.
She was sister of the late Henry, Arthur and Armand Mercier.
Per Lorraine’s wishes, all services were held privately.
