Lorraine C. Popp, 85, of Kiel died Thursday morning September 25, 2025 at Homestead Care Center, New Holstein where she had been a resident since November. She was born on November 29, 1939 in the Town of New Holstein, daughter of the late Arno and Roma (Jugenheimer) Hagenow. Lorraine graduated from Kiel High School with the class of 1957.

Lorraine worked for a short time at Freis Von Kiel before being united in marriage to Raymond Popp on December 12, 1964 at St. Peter UCC, Kiel. Lorraine raised her family and was active in church. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter UCC and the Women's Guild at Church. She was also a former member of the Schleswig Ladies Aid. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, baking, spending time with her children and grandchildren and collecting bells and coffee mugs. Ray preceded her in death on October 20, 2015.

Survivors include her children; Dale (Shelly) Popp, Ripon, Gary (Teresa) Popp, Madison, Keith (Kathy) Popp, DeForest, Laurie Popp, Madison, 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren. Further survived by brothers; James Hagenow, Kiel, Kenneth (Ellen) Hagenow, rural New Holstein, sister-in-law; Jeanne Hagenow, Forest Junction, daughters-in-law; Jane Elwood and Ruth Williams along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Ray, sons; Peter and Jim Popp, her parents; Arno and Roma, her in-laws; Henry and Edna Popp, an infant sister; Esther, brother; Charles Hagenow, sisters-in-law; Adeline Popp, Lucille (Ervin) Reese, Shirley Hagenow.

Funeral Services for Lorraine will be held at 11:00am on Monday September 29, 2025 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt-DeTroye Funeral Home (815 6th St. Kiel) with Pastor Nicole Herda officiating. Burial will follow in the Schleswig Cemetery, Rockville. A time of visitation will take place at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00am until 11:00am.

Lorraine's family would like to thank the caring staff at Homestead Care Center and Calumet County Hospice especially Colleen for the compassion and care shown to Lorraine and the family. They would also like to thank her roommate Kathy for the friendship she shared with Lorraine.
