Lorraine Susanne Satkowiak

Lorraine Satkowiak, age 94, a kind, warm-hearted soul with beautiful blue eyes, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Comfort Care in Bay City.
Lorraine was born on December 11, 1930, to Henry and Angeline (née Drzewicki) Satkowiak. Her mother died at an early age, leaving Lorraine and her brother, Clarence Satkowiak, to the loving care of their father and stepmother, Marcene (née Kulczak). Lorraine spent her working career and retired from the accounting department at Sears when it was still located in downtown Bay City. She and her brother traveled as snowbirds to DeLand, FL, and were very fond of attending the Daytona 500.
Lorraine was very active in her beloved church, Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish - St. Stanislaus Church. She was a tremendous cross-stitcher, loved chocolate, and enjoyed listening to polkas. She traveled often and visited many places, including Japan and Poland. Lorraine enjoyed playing golf, bingo, and visiting casinos. Plus, she was a lifelong Tigers fan!
Lorraine was predeceased by her brother, Clarence. She and her brother spent their entire lives together, living first in the family home in the South End and then sharing a condo at Bay Harbor.
A big thanks to Compassus Hospice and their staff-especially Chaplain Kellie, who spent much time praying with Lorraine, and Amber, who helped make Lorraine's passing comfortable.
Lorraine's Funeral Mass and Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at OLC Parish, St. Stanislaus Church. There will be visitation from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at St. Stanislaus Mausoleum.
