Lou Eichelberger Obituary Sharpsburg - Lou Ann Eichelberger, 71, of Sharpsburg, MD passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at her home.
Born, August 4, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Lester Donald Eichelberger and Arbutus Caroline "Bootie" Eichelberger.
Lou Ann was a graduate of Boonsboro High School. She was employed as a Secretary for the Maryland Department of Corrections until her retirement. She had previously worked for the Census Bureau. Most recently, she was a long-time employee at Red Men Tribe #84 in Williamsport, MD.
She was a proud member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Womens Auxiliary of The Improved Order of Red Men.
Lou Ann loved her family, sending cards for the smallest occasion and attending all family get-togethers. She made sure there were plenty of games and activities to bring fun to the holidays. She enjoyed having lunch with friends and family and playing bingo.
Lou Ann enjoyed wearing patriotic attire and was known for her vibrant themed accessories and clothing. Lou Ann had a very generous heart; she devoted much of her time and energy to serving her local community and those in need. She loved to shop, anonymously, for many children and families throughout the year.
Lou Ann was proud to have donated her body to the Anatomy Board of Maryland for scientific research.
Lou Ann is survived by her son, Jeremy Crampton and his wife, Wendy, of Clear Spring, MD. Brothers, Joseph (Bud) Eichelberger and his wife Mary Ann, Richard (Gene) Eichelberger and his wife Barbara, and Eldon L. Eichelberger all of Sharpsburg, MD. A sister-in-law, Dixie Eichelberger, of Middletown, MD. She was blessed with two grandsons, Gage and Blake Crampton of Clear Spring, MD. A special nephew and niece, J.W. and Cheryl Eichelberger and their daughters Kelsey and Megan Eichelberger of Sharpsburg, MD, and several other nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Leo Eichelberger and Donald Lee Eichelberger and one sister-in-law, Shirley Eichelberger.
To honor her wishes, there will be no services. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
