Louanne Charlie Tucker

Denton – Louanne Marie Tucker, known to many as Charlie, 51, passed away on November 11, 2025, in the Hinkle Hospice House.

Charlie was born in High Point, North Carolina, on April 23, 1974, to Judy and Jerry Price. She graduated from Trinity High School in 1993 and earned a certification in childcare from RCCC.

Charlie worked in many fields throughout her life, but finishing her career as a toddler teacher at A Child's World was her most rewarding job. She loved spending time with her family, and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Charlie is survived by her husband, Stephen Tucker of the home; four children, Amber Morales (Cody), Patricia Edwards, Anthony Edwards (Heidi) and Victoria Edwards (Jordan); two sisters, Melissa Austin (John), Gerry Whitaker (Rob); mother, Judy Dicken's; eleven grandchildren, Christian, Autumn, Avaiona, Ayden, Chloe, Carly, David, Novalynn, Maya, Raylynn, Saylor; niece, Erin Ore; four nephews, Jerry Austin, Bryan Whitaker, Joshua Whitaker, Edwin Watson; five great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Price.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 16th, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Cumby Family Funeral Service at 206 Trindale Road in Archdale.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17th at 2:00 p.m. at Southgate Baptist Church at 104 Cloniger Road in Thomasville, with Pastor Russel Fox officiating. Burial will follow the service at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
