Louis Capuano, Jr., age 91 of Canton, passed away peacefully early Sunday, July 13, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Canton to the late Louis and Dominica "Maggie" (Bianchi) Capuano, Sr., he was also preceded in death by his brothers Ralph, Ralph Sr., Gerald, Richard; sisters Betty and Lena Capuano, Theresa DeSarro, and Yvonne Clark.

He was a 1952 graduate of Lincoln High School, active in the Lincoln Alumni Association and had hosted their 50th class reunion. He was an Army veteran serving from 1954 to 1956. Louis was a member of the Ben V. Marconi Sons of Italy Lodge #1628. He retired from the Timken Company after 30 years of service and was retired for 31 years - one year longer than he had worked, which was an important milestone for him.

Louis was an avid master gardener who grew his own plants in his greenhouse. He planted over 500 tomato plants and carried on his tradition of canning everything he grew in the garden. He enjoyed making sausage and wine, and raising chickens and rabbits. Louis enjoyed cycling and maintained a regular schedule of fitness, going to the CYC three days a week until he was 88. Louis married his wife Lucille (Olivieri) on July 7, 1956 and they just celebrated 69 years of marriage.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Dino (Debra), Mark (Andrea), Jeff (Mona), Tina (Rick) Biasella, Angela (Shawn) Smith, Louie (Suzanne); 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; sisters Loretta Beebe, Kathy (Jeff) Shultz; and sister-in-law Melanie Capuano.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m., at Guardian Angels Parish at St. Joan of Arc Church. Entombment to follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in Louis' name, may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
