Louis Hanacek Obituary

Born in Trego, WI, he was the son of the late Louis and Angeline Lauterbach Hanacek.
Mr. Hanacek was a member of Eastside Presbyterian Church. Louis was President of his senior class at Thornton High School and was a scholarship track athlete at Western Michigan. He served in the Army Reserves and worked for South Holland and Providence Banks in the Chicago area during his career. He moved to Greenville, SC to be closer to his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Kristen Lee Nelli and husband, William; and four grandchildren, Olivia Lee Nelli, Christopher Patrick Nelli, Ainsley Marie Nelli, and Annaliese Keyes Nelli.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ann Reeves.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Eastside Presbyterian Church followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m.
Memorials may be made to Eastside Presbyterian Church, 830 Garlington Road, Greenville, SC 29615.

I just found out of Lou´s passing as I recently posted on fb how he helped me out of a bind while on a military move. I was selling a house in one state and closing on a new house in another state and the old house got held up for a couple of weeks. I asked Lou if I could get a loan till the sale went through. He said no problem. He really helped me out of a jam. I first met Lou in A Company, 863rd Engineers (USAR) in Harvey, Il. He gave me sound advice, was always reachable and just an all around good guy. Thanks Lou, rest in peace!!

Terrace Drive,where so many strangers became One Large Loving Family...all of which were beginning our journey as home owners and most importantly as PARENTS! The wonderful memories never to be forgotten, Friendships of all our children, many of which are still going strong. And more importantly, the Friendships of the Parents became so strong!! And we welcomed new families!! We laughed, we cried we helped we comforted. whatever was needed, was given unconditionally. whenThe Hanacek Family joined Terrace Drive, they added spark to our Group. Everyone loved them. I would like to express our sympathly to Kristin, Roberta, and entire Family and also sorrow for Lou's suffering. But now we know he is resting in peace And, Lou. by the way, you never shared your middle name, Guido!! So much Joy we all shared. We were all blessed, Love to all, Bob and Penny
