Cumberland, MD-Louis John Klepitch, Sr., 92, of Cumberland, MD passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Devlin Manor Health Care Center.
Born July 7, 1932 in Cleveland, OH, Mr. Klepitch was the son of the late Louis Klepitch and Ann (Vitilla) Klepitch. He was also preceded in death by his wife: Patricia Katherine (Koran) Klepitch; two sisters: Evelyn Webber and Marion Canute; and a brother: Raymond Klepitch.
Louis graduated from Baldwin Wallace College in Ohio and was owner and operator of A&B Autobody until retirement. He was a former member of Our Lady of the Mountains Parish, Church of St. Patrick and a current member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Louis was a member of the Optimist Club, the Fort Cumberland Post #13 American Legion, the Knights of Columbus #586, the Henry Hart V.F.W. Post #1411, the Cumberland Moose and the Frostburg Elks Lodge #470.
Louis is survived by his sons: Louis Klepitch, Jr.; Michael Klepitch and Rose Martin; and David Klepitch and wife Patty; a sister: Irene Renfro; his grandchildren: Chantel Monington and fiancé Christian; Michael Klepitch and wife Becky; Christopher Klepitch and wife Becky; Emma Klepitch; and Amanda Klepitch; as well as his great-grandchildren: Tyler Monington, Killian, Jasper, Leopold, Artemis, Newton and Hawthorn, Izabella, Isaac, Ilana, Isaiah, and Ian Klepitch.
A committal service will be conducted at the Maryland Veterans' Cemetery at Rocky Gap on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Alexa Smith officiating.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post #13 Veterans Honor Guard.
