Lucas Joseph “Luke” Travasos was born April 23, 1949, in New Orleans to the late Ray and Shirley Gallioto Travasos. He passed away May 28, 2025, at his home in Hammond at age 76. He was a lifetime resident of Metairie, before moving to Hammond nine years ago. Luke was a 1967 graduate of Rummel High School in Metairie, and was the manager and floral buyer for Floral Enterprises in Metairie for 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pat Norwood Travasos; son, Craig Michael Travasos (Kelli Arnold Travasos); daughter, Regina Travasos; and two grandchildren, Chad “Mikey” McGuire, and Jaxtyn Lucas Travasos. In addition to his parents, Luke is preceded in death by a son, Lucas Joseph Travasos. A celebration of life service will be at Greenwood in New Orleans, Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
