Lucretia Becker, affectionately known as Lu to her friends and loved ones, passed away on June 27, 2024, in Saginaw, Michigan at the age of 48. She was born on May 14, 1976, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Lu led a fulfilling life dedicated to caring for others. She graduated from Delta College with an LPN degree and went on to work at Wellspring Lutheran Services as the Director of Memory Care for five years. Her compassionate nature also led her to serve as a hospice nurse at Alara Caring for the past two years.
Known for her sense of humor, Lu had a way of making everyone around her feel like a friend. Her warm and welcoming personality touched the lives of many. In her free time, she found joy in being out on the water at Houghton Lake and in Florida. Lu was also a talented artist and took pleasure in refurbishing antiques.
Lu was preceded in death by her grandparents Gordon and Dorothy Bryant and William and Carlene Becker: and her brother-in-law Jeremy Morgan.
She is survived by her son Brendan (Aeriyona Ward) Becker; mother Diana Lynn Austin; father Kirk W. (Kristi) Becker; stepchildren Riley Koski and Kennedy Koski; two sisters and one brother Colene Morgan and her daughter Lillian, Lori (Paul) Cunningham, and Zakery Austin; her special aunt Dawn Bryant; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Lola.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603, Where friends may visit with the family from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service. Rev.
