Lucy Jacinta Hill

Lucy Jacinta Hill, a long-time resident of Clawson, Michigan, passed away from complications of cancer on May 19, 2023. Lucy was 64 years old.
Lucy was born on April 24, 1959, in Royal Oak, to loving parents Anton and Julia Wigman. Growing up, she attended Ferndale High School, graduating with the class of 1977, and went on to gain her associate's degree at Lake Superior State College. On June 4, 1983, she also went to truck driving school, professionally driving semi-trucks until she was married. Lucy worked as the office manager of a Parenting Program at Beaumont Hospital for 35 years.
On June 4, 1983, Lucy married the love of her life, Joseph Hill, at St. James church in Ferndale, MI. Lucy met Joe playing softball in their twenties, and were together for over 40 loving years. Lucy was also the mother of three boys and grandmother to four beautiful grandchildren, with one on the way.
Lucy continued to enjoy sports all her life, playing baseball, basketball and volleyball, working as a coach, and frequenting many Tigers opening day games in Detroit. She was also a fan of Mustang cars and loved driving her Mustang convertible, especially in the Woodward Dream Cruise.
Lucy was a woman of many talents, from tiling to plumbing, to refinishing furniture. She enjoyed decorating her home and she loved working in the garden.
The most important thing to Lucy was her family. Lucy loved being a grandmother to her four beautiful grandchildren. She loved her big Irish family, and their frequent get-togethers where she enjoyed the sing-alongs with her many brothers, sisters and family.
Lucy will be missed deeply by her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Hill; sons Joseph J. (Stephanie) Hill, Ryan A. Hill, and Jamal (Taraya) Williams; four grandchildren, Emily, Taylor, Layla, and Maya; and siblings Julie (Dennis) Crawford, Mary (Paul) Desjardins, John (Linda) Wigman, Anton (Karen) Wigman, Dennis (Shirley) Wigman, and Helen (Dan) Busker.
Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Julia ( Kelly) Wigman, and her siblings Francis "Frank" (Patricia) Wigman, Peter James, and Anne (Marc) Vizzini.
A visitation for Lucy Hill will be held on Tuesday, May 23, at Gramer Funeral Home, located at 705 N Main St., Clawson, from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. A service for Lucy will be held the following day, Wednesday, May 24, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, located at 581 14 Mile Rd, Clawson, at 11:00am. Lucy will lie in-state at 10:30am.
