Lucy M. Oberholtzer, 97, of Lititz, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at her residence.
She was born in New Holland to the late Eli Z. and Lydia H. (Musser) Horst and was the wife of the late David M. Oberholtzer, who passed away in 2021.
She was a member of Meadow Valley Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference). She was a homemaker.
Lucy is survived by 11 children, Mary, wife of Leroy Fox of Ephrata, Marian, wife of Noah Martin of Narvon, Esther, wife of Allen Zeiset of East Earl, Eugene, husband of Laura Oberholtzer of Tucson, AZ, Luke, husband of Lorraine Oberholtzer of Stevens, Lydia, wife of Richard Martin of Lititz, Arlene, wife of Elvin Martin of Sparta, WI, Anna Mae, wife of Nevin Zimmerman of East Earl, Earl, husband of Nancy Oberholtzer of Lititz, Ervin, husband of Earla Oberholtzer of Lititz, Rachel Oberholtzer of Colby, WI; 41 grandchildren; 159 great-grandchildren and13 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild; three great-grandchildren; eight siblings, Samuel, husband of the late Judith Horst, Isaac, husband of the late Anna Horst, Adam, husband of the late Mary Horst, Eli, husband of the late Annie Horst, Jacob Horst, Enos, husband of the late Anna Horst, Anna, wife of the late Aaron High, and Paul, husband of the late Eleanor Horst.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, at Midway Mennonite Reception Center, 210 E Lexington Rd, Lititz. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 9:30 AM, at Midway Mennonite Reception Center, with further services at 10 AM, from Meadow Valley Mennonite Church, 200 Meadow Valley Rd., Ephrata with Bishop Quinton Wenger officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
