Luigi Amabile, age 72, of Lynn, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.
Luigi was the devoted husband of Gina (Musto) Amabile, with whom he shared over 51 beautiful years of marriage. Their life together was built on hard work, devotion, and a deep love that was the heart of their family.
Born in Bracigliano, Italy in 1953, Luigi was the son of the late Carmine Amabile and Giuseppina DeNardo. At 19, he courageously left his home in Italy to build a new life in America. He first settled in Everett before making Lynn his home for the past 50 years-a place where he and Gina raised their family and built a life rooted in hard work, love, and tradition.
A proud craftsman, Luigi began his career as a co-owner of L & R Plastering before establishing his own company, Luigi Amabile and Sons Plastering. He was known for his strong work ethic and pride in his craft, but even more for the way he worked to create a legacy for his children and grandchildren.
Family was the center of Luigi's world. He was happiest at home, surrounded by those he loved most-cooking delicious meals, tending to his vegetable garden, and enjoying walks that always ended with friendly conversations with the neighbors. Nothing brought him greater joy than being a husband, father, and Nonno. He adored his granddaughters, Gianna and Liliana, and could often be found cheering them on at soccer games or beaming with pride at their accomplishments. His love for his family was endless and could be felt in every smile, every story, and every meal shared around the table.
Luigi also cherished spending winters at his home in North Port, Florida, and sharing countless memories with his sons and loved ones who were lucky enough to know him. His kindness, humor, and warmth touched everyone he met, and his gentle spirit will never be forgotten.
Luigi is survived by his beloved wife Gina, his loving children Lillian Parker and her husband John of Lynn, Luigi Amabile, Jr. and his wife Denise of North Port, FL, and Giancarlo Amabile and his fiancée Jennifer Kozacko of North Port, FL; and his adored granddaughters Gianna and Liliana Parker of Lynn. He also leaves behind his siblings Raffaele Amabile and his wife Delia of Lynn, Rosa LaFace of Revere, Giuseppe Amabile of Italy, Antonio Amabile of Revere, and Carmela Amabile and her husband Giuseppe of Italy, as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and dear friends. Luigi was predeceased by his brother Giovanni Amabile, who passed away in Italy on the same day-a poignant reflection of the deep bond between them.
A Funeral will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. from the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME (Rt. 129), Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Lynn. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4–8 p.m. Donations in Luigi's memory may be made to a
charity of one's choice.
Luigi will forever be remembered for his hard work, his generous heart, and, above all, his boundless love for his family-a love that will continue to guide and comfort them for years to come.
