Ralph A. Couillard, age 85, of Lynn, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. He was the loving husband of Lorraine J. (Scott) Couillard, with whom he shared 62 wonderful years. Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Yvonne (Pelletier) Couillard. Ralph attended Lynn Classical High School.
A machinist, he worked for Wingaersheek in Danvers for many years until his retirement in 1989. He was a long-time active member of the Elks Club. Ralph was an avid football fan, looking forward to football season every year, and watching the Redzone religiously with his briefcase full of pool papers and score sheets. He made friends everywhere - from the grocery store to the schoolyard, handing out candy to all the moms. He found joy in helping others, from putting out the trash barrels weekly for all of the neighbors to donating to My Brother's Table and helping out in the Veterans Hospital. Above all, he loved his family, especially his devoted wife; she was his whole world.
In addition to his wife Lorraine, he is survived by his daughters; Cindy Shea and her husband Keith, Lisa Marie Smith, Jane Scott, and Stephanie Couillard and her husband Justin Scheri; and was the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren; Sean, Ashley, Kayleigh, Rilee, Billy, Brandon, Ty, Axl, and Lenny; and seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves his sister, Alyne Alexander, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings; Lorraine Hoxie, Shirley Luz, Rita Gagnon, Anita Anderson, and Ronald, Roger, Richard, and Gerard Couillard.
His visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 4-8PM in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn. His funeral mass will be on Friday October 24, 2025, at 10AM in St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple St., Lynn. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
Those who prefer may make donations to My Brother's Table, 98 Willow St., Lynn, MA 01901 or to the Veteran's Home at Chelsea, 100 Summit Ave, Chelsea, MA 02150.

Lorraine & Family
So very sorry for your loss.
Ralph was a dear friend and our memories of times spent with you and Ralph are etched in our hearts forever. His loyalty as a friend and his desire to give to others was amazing. When he said he had your back he meant it. We will miss him and will reminisce about times together often.
Travel safely dear friend
