Big Louie was born en la casa de Maria y Jose's in Uringato GTO on 17 of January 1945. He grew up to become an outstanding young man with a great work ethic just like his Dad. As a young boy, Louie had a love for baseball. When he became a young adult he played in a baseball league of his home town Superior, Aurora and Serrot. He was selected to play in a professional baseball league of Bajillo. Big Louie often went to a club named Leland nightclub., where he met the love of his life Epolita Arriola. They both loved to dance and he swept her off her feet. They fell in love almost instantly and were lifelong partners. Louie and Epolita got married on January 22, 1972. Louie helped Epolita to raise her three daughters Terry, Tammy and Irene. Louie and Epolita had a Beautiful Baby Boy by the name Louie Guzman Jr on August 24, 1973. Louie was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was a very talented and successful welder for Wilson Steel Company. Then he changed his trade to become a Successful Contractor in Construction at Four Star Construction Company. He then, dedicated 18 years to Lecco Spring Company manufacturing springs and coils for NASA and the Air Force, where he later retired. Louie and Epolita were able to create a home for their entire family in North Side of Houston, Texas. Louie was also a passionate softball player who could be found on the softball field during his time off. He loved playing and traveling to play ball. He met so many great friends along the way doing what he loved to do. He then became a Team Manager and Owner. He was a legend in the sport and was inducted to The Hall of Fame by the local American Softball Association. Anyone who knew Louie knew that he was the most loving father, husband, kind Grandfather and Awesome Great Grandfather any family could ask for. He was a great inspiration and mentor to his entire family. Big Louie passed away surrounded by loved ones on March 11, 2025 at Memorial Herman Greater Heights Hospital.
Louie was predeceased by his mother, Maria Ortega, his father Jose Guzman, his brothers Enrique and Augustine Guzman and his Daughter Irene Ramos.
He is survived by his wife Epolita, his five siblings Chole, Fransisco, Jorge, Victor, Maria de los Angeles, His children Louie Guzman Jr, Juanita Carbajal, Terry Macias and Tammy Ho. His Daughter in Law Angelita Guzman, and Son in laws Henry Macias and Steven Ho. And also by his 11 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren, well as many aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends who he loved very much. He was a great inspiration and mentor to his entire family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home in Houston, Texas. A Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. The family requests that plants are donated instead of flowers, to plant life in memory of Big Louie.
Cremation will take place at a later date.

Creció para convertirse en un joven excepcional con una gran ética de trabajo, tal como su papá. De niño, Louie tenía una gran pasión por el béisbol. Louie fue precedido por su madre, María Ortega, su padre, José Guzmán, sus hermanos Enrique y Agustín Guzmán y su hija Irene Ramos.
Le sobreviven su esposa Epolita, sus cinco hermanos Chole, Francisco, Jorge, Víctor, Maria de los Angeles, sus hijos Louie Guzmán Jr, Juanita Carbajal, Terry Macías y Tammy Ho. Fue una gran inspiración y mentor para toda su familia.
El velorio se llevará a cabo el sábado 15 de marzo de 2025, de 4:00 p.m. a 7:30 p.m. en la funeraria Felix H. Morales en Houston, Texas. El Rosario comenzará a las 7:00 p.m. La familia solicita que se hagan donaciones de plantas en lugar de flores, para plantar vida en memoria de Big Louie.

Daddy, I miss you so much already. My heart is heavy and my emotions are all over the map. You were truly one of a kind. You were loving, compassionate, determined and always made time for everyone.
