It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Luis Guajardo Serrano, who left us peacefully on September 29, 2024, at the age of 82 in Levelland, Texas after a prolonged battle with dementia.
Born on August 20, 1942, in Zaragoza, Coahuila Mexico Luis dedicated his life to his family, embodying love, kindness, and warmth. Luis was a devoted father and an extraordinary grandfather who brought laughter and joy to his family. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, always ready with a story, a joke, or a warm hug. His spirit was infectious, adventurous and he had a remarkable ability to make everyone around him feel special. Whether it was sharing lessons from life, hosting family gatherings, or simply sitting on the porch chatting about old times. Luis was always embracing life with enthusiasm. His laughter and vibrant personality will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of sharing memories with him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, and a family united in grief but also in gratitude for the wonderful moments they shared.
Luis believed in hard work, and not giving up when life got tough, and the future was uncertain. Luis, with limited academic background, was able to achieve many vocations. Owner of Jacks's lawn service, also worked as a roofer, builder, agriculture, railroad track worker, great salesperson he would sale anything that was not bolted down.
Luis enjoyed sitting outside watching baseball, his favorite team was the Texas Rangers. He enjoyed watching football because he always had football squares. He always had an ace up his sleeve because he was a great poker player. Everywhere he went was a guaranteed family get-together. Luis knew the importance of giving back and displaying true kindness. He would do this by donating clothes, shoes, jackets, toys, and appliances to Mexico families. He was someone who thought about others before himself.
Luis is survived by his wife Maria Guadalupe Guajardo, devoted children Juan Pablo Guajardo, Luis Guajardo (Patricia), Margarita Villarreal (Joe Michael), Samuel Guajardo (Maira) and Yesenia Guajardo, adoring grandchildren Jr Herrera, Anthony Moreno (Lupita), Pablo Moreno (Natalie), Marina Guajardo, Sam Euresti (Veronique), Luis Angel Guajardo, Alexis Guajardo and Casandra Guajardo and 20 great grand kids.
