Luther Henry Pettypool

Luther Henry Pettypool, age 90, of Qulin, MO, died Saturday, December 24, 2022 at his residence, in Qulin, MO. Mr. Pettypool was born October 30, 1932 in Fisk, MO, son of the late John and Fannie Pettypool. He had served in the Army in the 521st signal Corp during the Korean War. He had worked at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis and several saw mills in Southeast Missouri. He also worked for Butler County Highway Department for twenty years and was a truck owner operator for eight yearsss. He enjoyed hunting and camping, taking trips and taking his wife Shirley fishing. On April 3, 1956 He married Shirley Jean Wangler. She survives. Also surviving are three sons: Jimmy (Terrie) Pettypool of Bernie, George (Jana Thomas) of Caruthersville and Mark Pettypool of Broseley. One daughter Anna Sue Pettypool of Powe, nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceeded in death by one son: Kevin; one daughter in law: Jean Pettypool; one sister: Annie Pearl Willeford, one son-in-law: Jerry Gordan and one granddaughter: Marina Pettypool. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk with Rev. Gerald Berger officiating.
