Lynette "Lyn" A. (Bonlander) Pernell, age 78, of New Holstein, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2025, at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee.
She was born April 9, 1947, in Manitowoc to the late William & Genevieve (Reiser) Bonlander. Lyn attended St. Joseph Grade School in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1966.
On July 5, 1980, she married Willmer Pernell at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz. Lyn worked as a nursing assistant with area nursing homes, hospitals, as well as in home care.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein.
Survivors include her husband, Willmer; three children, Kevin Pernell of New Holstein, Jeremy (Ashley) Pernell of New Holstein, and Benjamin (Arlene) Pernell of New Holstein; her grandchildren, Anthony (Gabby) Schaetzer, Shaun Pernell, Evan Pernell, Rylee Pernell, Harper Pernell, Kaiden Pernell, and Skylar Pernell: her great-grandchildren, Jerome "Jr" & Czar Schaetzer; two brothers, Lyle (Rosie) Bonlander of Denmark and Terry (Bonnie) Bonlander of Newton. She is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Preceding her in death, were her parents, William & Genevieve Bonlander; a daughter-in-law, Nikki Pernell; her sister, Jovita Bonlander; and three brothers, Dale, Ron, and Mark Bonlander.
Funeral Services will be held at 5:30 PM on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI 53061. Inurnment will take place in the Countryview Cemetery in the Town of New Holstein.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Lyn's family at the Sippel Funeral Home in New Holstein on Friday, May 30th from 3:00 PM until 5:15 PM.
