Lynn Ray Appleget, died January 8, 2025, at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney, Iowa. He was born February 1, 1950, to Walter Howard and Bernice Lucille Elder Appleget at the Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1969. He worked for Iowa Culvert Builders, and later he was a custodian for the Keokuk, Iowa school systems. On July 1990 he married Janice Holmes in Sigourney. Lynn enjoyed camping, fishing and Nascar racing. On many afternoons you could find Lynn sitting on the front porch visiting with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Doris Waechter, Jean Mateer Ashby, Patricia Seivert, Larry Appleget, Allen Appleget and Donald Appleget.
He is survived by his wife Jan, stepchildren Kristine Miller of Parnell, Gene (Nikki) Watts of Montrose, Bobbie-Jo Watts of Montrose, grandchildren Mileah Miller, Zoe Miller, Brayden Miller, Stephanie French, Dustin Watts, Tommy Watts, Olivia Day, Braylon Day, his twin sister Linda (Don) Brady of Lawrence, Kansas, and many nieces and nephews.
