Our dearest beloved sister Lynn passed peacefully on Saturday, May 17th and now has very happily joined her dearest loving Mom Irene and Dad Bill in eternity with our Lord and God in heaven. Jesus has called her home and at last no more suffering for Lynn.
Everyone who knows Lynn will remember her simple, immense love for her many friends and family.
She was born June 4th, 1971, the youngest of four siblings that experienced the most loving home life that you could ever pray for or imagine. Lynn was special and unfortunately was born with cataracts and operated on as nearly an infant, less than 2 years old. The eye surgery may have been the first of its kind for one so young with many complications to the point Lynn eventually in later years lost nearly all of her eyesight. Also at a young age, Lynn was diagnosed with a severe loss of hearing and yet she marched on, enduring with grace a difficult life with seemingly unending doctor visits and heavy, daily medical needs.
Yet through it all she persevered with a smile and hearty laughter, with elegance and simplicity and much love for her pets and all animals.
Lynn graduated from Grosse Pointe North High School and went on to work a while at McDonald's and then a few years @ Moehring Woods Florist in Grosse Pointe Woods which she and everyone around her loved so much that she is remembered to this day after working there back in the 1990s.
Afterwards, she spent years bowling with many special needs cherished friends and their families. God also blessed Lynn with a special sense of memory wherein she knew all of her family's and many of her friends birthdays and anniversaries! She so enjoyed her Price is Right TV show everyday and spending her days with her cherished caregivers for many years, Mrs. Carolyn Gambarino and Mrs. Anna Wambaugh and above all, our dearest family friend, Annie Ventimiglia, who Lynn and all of us have known and loved our entire lives.
Lynn was preceded in death by her incredibly caring, loving parents, William and Irene Scherer, and dearly loved grandparents, aunt's and uncles.
Lynn will be forever loved and remembered by her siblings, brother Bill (Beverly) Scherer, brother Kurt (Janice) Scherer, sister Janice (Randy) Marshall and Lynn's nephews and nieces, Morgan, Willy, Madison, Lauren, Steven, Cali and Luke and many longtime friends and extended family who all had the blessing to touch her humble life and her touch theirs.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, May 22nd @ Wujek-Calcatera & Sons, Inc. @ 36900 Schoenherr Rd. Sterling Heights, MI 48312 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm as well as instate and holy Mass, Friday, May 23rd @ 9:30am instate with 10am holy mass @ St. Paul of Tarsus Church - 41300 Romeo Plank Road - Clinton Township, MI 48038

Lynn was such a special sweet young lady. I will always remember how excited she was when I baked her a strawberry cheesecake for her birthday and we celebrated at the Vineyards CC. She's a special angel in heaven. Love, Rosemary Dohan
