Lysle K. Wagner Jr.

Lysle K. Wagner Jr., age 83, of Erie, PA, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 21, 2025. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Georgeanne Wagner, his mother Marjorie Wagner, his father Lysle K. Wagner Sr., and his brother David Wagner.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Cheryl Wagner Owens Briggs, and her husband Kenneth; three grandchildren: Mallory Aldrich and her husband Richard, Paige Owens-Thorpe and her husband Derek, and Tyler Owens; his sister, Barbara Allison, and her husband Dave; and his nephew, James Allison, and niece, Sandra Padgett.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on July 23, 1942, Lysle graduated from Strong Vincent High School in Erie in 1962 before earning a degree in auto mechanics from Pueblo College in Colorado. He went on to build a successful career of more than 27 years as the much-respected service department shop foreman at Hallman Chevrolet. Aside from his professional life, Lysle was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and generous with his family beyond measure. A lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he found joy in reading Louis L'Amour novels with his cat, Kitty, by his side, and loved spending summer days relaxing in his garage.
