Macy Steffeny Goodson passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024 at the age of 48. She was a beloved, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother and friend. She was an exceptional woman and a loving mother of three boys whom she cherished deeply.
Macy was born November 26, 1975 in Columbus, Ohio to Victoria and Presley Goodson. She graduated from Northland High School and her career consisted of providing service to others. She worked at Central Ohio Transit Authority for many years and she worked as a bus driver for various schools throughout Columbus. Macy was always happy and had a bright personality that would light up any room she walked into. She was kind, compassionate and generous.
Macy was a nurturing and loving mom who loved her three boys more than anything. Her love for her boys was selfless and unconditional always prioritizing their needs over her own. She always made sacrifices to ensure they had everything they needed and enjoyed spending quality time with them. She was supportive, compassionate and she was their biggest cheerleader. She was a proud mom.
Her parents, Victoria and Presley Goodson; her grand parents Viola and Jessie Hill preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing but rejoice in everlasting life her three sons: Jared Goodson, Jordan Goodson, and Joelle Goodson; granddaughter Ariel Goodson; two sisters Tifpheny Kelly Barron (Clenton), and Mona Goodson; two brothers Casey Goodson, and Phillip Goodson; nieces Brianna Malone and Camille Barron; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Macy was a shining example of strength, perseverance, and selflessness. She was a Christian and she loved God. Her faith motivated her to forgive and love others, find peace, overcome doubt, accept Gods guidance, and persevere through trials in her life. She will be greatly missed but she will remain in our hearts. As we mourn her passing we take great comfort in knowing that she is now with her heavenly father who welcomed her home with open arms.
Rest in Peace Macy, You will remain in our hearts forever.
