Madison Argo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Radney Funeral Home - Alexander City on Oct. 2, 2023.
Funeral Service for Mr. Madison Scott Argo, 32, of Marietta, Georgia, and formerly of Alexander City will be Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 1:30 pm at the Church in the Pines. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Church in the Pines.
Madison passed unexpectedly at the age of 32 on September 28, 2023 in Marietta, GA. Madison is preceded in death by his mother, Pamela Jo Scott Argo. He is survived by his loving father, David T. Argo of Alexander City; sisters Audra (Argo) Kirkpatrick (spouse Matt, daughter Maggie) currently of Yokota Air Base, Japan, and Amanda Boone (spouse Wade, children Nolan, Lee, and Carlee) of Alexander City; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Madison was exuberant, energetic, and passionate about everything he did. Born in Alexander City to Pam and David Argo, he attended Benjamin Russell High School where he participated in the band and wrestling programs that would shape the rest of his life. Madison went on to study music at Auburn University where he served as drum major in addition to holding many leadership positions within the Auburn Bands program. Madison loved all things Auburn and the friendships he made there would last over a decade and many moves. He was a beloved high school band director in Georgia and Texas and attended graduate school at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Most recently he taught high school band at Wheeler High School in Marietta, GA. Madison's impact on the band world was immense and the community mourns the loss of such a champion for music.
Madison's love of fitness began with high school wrestling and continued into young adulthood, where he coached and competed in CrossFit and many other athletic competitions. He leaves behind a large, close-knit fitness community where his absence will be truly felt.
Madison was joyful, loving, and hilarious. He loved his Daddy, enjoying Sunday lunches with him regularly and calling to talk frequently. His faith in Christ held him up even through the toughest times. He hugged hard, laughed hard, and made everyone feel like the most important person in the room. Madison loved an adventure- he jumped at any chance to take a trip, whether to catch a baseball game, visit his sister overseas, or to work with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Great American Marching Band. He loved his friends fiercely and spread light and love wherever he went.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to any local high school band program.

Mr. Argo was our daughter's band director her freshman year of high school. It was a rough year for her following the pandemic, and Mr. Argo was a consistent encourager and steadying presence for her and her peers. His compassion and kindness were the evidence of his faith in Christ, and we are grateful for the impact he made on our daughter during a tough year. We are keeping Mr. Argo's family, friends, and students in our prayers.

Madison was a "ball of energy", when he first joined Muncie CrossFit at The Arsenal I thought, oh my who is this southern, loud child & so early. Lol. I quickly grew to love Madison as did everyone he met. From him saying "Well KristaHon" & I would reply "MadisonHon" to us sharing the videos of the guys who played the southern mom on Facebook that we would crack up laughing at. He will be missed tremendously @ I´m better for having met him. Peace & prayers to each of you.
