Maggie Doris Lewis, 74 of Marion, Indiana, gained her angel wings and joined Jesus in her eternal resting place, on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at her home in Marion, surrounded by her loving family.
Maggie was born on June 10, 1950, in Livingston Kentucky, to the late Caleb and Catherine (Bullock) Lamb. She married the love of her life, Ernie Lewis, on May 12, 1970. Maggie loved being with her family and spoiling her grandkids. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed feeding everyone. No one ever left her house hungry and if they did it was their own fault. She loved going to thrift stores and was always there for her family no matter what. Her kind heart touched so many people's lives and her legacy will live on through her family.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Douglas and Woodrow Lamb.
Loving survivors include her husband of 54 years, Ernie Lewis of Marion, IN, children, Jennifer (Silas) Donald of Marion, IN, and Scott (Missy) Lewis of Jonesboro, IN, grandchildren, Justin Barsha, Chelsea Snyder, Caleb Lewis, Breanna Walker, Travis Barsha, Weston Lewis, Cobey Lewis, Logan Donald, and Brenley Clasby, great grandchildren, Oliver, Teagan, Madilyn, Aaliyah, Aaron, Harleen, Ali, Hadlee, Traxton, Charlie, Alistair, and Kyler, siblings, Mary Doan of Livingston, KY, John (Diane) Lamb of Livingston, KY, Leroy (Flossie) Lamb, of Livingston, KY, Frankie (Sue) Lamb of Mt. Vernon, KY, and Wanda Lamb of Marion, IN, and special cousin that helped care for her, Robin Cope.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 12pm to 2pm at Calloway Holiness Church, 30 Calloway Branch Rd, Mount Vernon, Kentucky, with the service beginning at 2pm. Burial will follow the service in the Doan Family Cemetery on Piney Branch.
