Malvina M. Cloonan

Malvina M. (Galski) Cloonan, 78, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025, at her son's residence with her children and her cat Maui by her side.
Born February 26, 1946, in Hazleton, PA she is the daughter of the late Jack Youvan and Mildred Puchule.
Mel, as she was called, had been employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs for 30+ years of service to our Veterans until her retirement. She raised three kids while attaining her masters degree in Public Health.
She loved animals and going to the beach. She enjoyed day trips and traveling. Spending time with her kids and watching her grandkids grow up. She loved visiting and getting pictures of her great grandchildren.
She was preceed in death by her ex-husband and friend Martin B. Cloonan of Galway, Ireland. And son-in-law Edward M. Fuhrer Jr, of Allegheny Township.
Survived by her daughter Tara (Joe) Burke of Port Deposit, MD, son Martin Cloonan of Pittsburgh and daughter Dawn (Keith) Chvala of Allegheny Township. Five amazing grandchildren Joey (Faith) Burke, Jacob Burke, Ashley Burke, Edward Fuhrer, and Matthew Fuhrer. Two beautiful great-grandchildren Emma Burke and Joey Burke. And her brother, John Galski of Camp Hill, PA.
Honoring her wishes, there will be no public visitation, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
