Richard "Fuzzy" Valentino Fasano, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2025 in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.

Born February 14, 1939 in Pine Run Village, he was a son of the late Letizio Fasano & Josephine (Massaro) Fasano. Richard was a lifelong resident of Lower West Vandergrift and a 1957 graduate of Vandergrift High School.

Richard was employed as a Tool Maker in the Maintenance Department at Wean United Foundry in Vandergrift for nearly 25 years. He was in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard Reserves from 1962 to 1968 during the Vietnam Era, maintaining aircraft engines as a mechanic.

Richard had a great appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, the beach, and spending time with his family. He was commended as one of the finest mechanics in the area, and he felt a great sense of comfort working on race cars in his garage. Richard also enjoyed stock car racing.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brothers, Silvio Fasano and Mario Fasano.

Richard is survived by his wife of 63 years, Veronica L. (Bushovsky) Fasano of Lower West Vandergrift; his daughter, Tracey L. (Jeffrey) Wilt of New Castle; his son, Todd R. (Jackie Hoffmann) Fasano of Stroudsburg; his daughter, Tammy J. (James Jr.) DeCecco of Pittsburgh; his brother, Robert (Betty) Fasano of West Leechburg; his grandchildren, Daniel (Alexandra) Fasano, Olivia and Amelia Wilt, Ella, Enzo, and Michael DeCecco; and his great-grandchild, Riley Fasano; and his niece and nephew.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. in the Brady-Curran Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 429 Franklin Avenue, Vandergrift where parting prayers of transfer will begin at 10:30 am.
