Manuel Lafuente Torres

Manuel Lafuente Torres, age 97 of Cleveland entered into eternal rest on June 7, 2023. He was born on February 3, 1926 to Gregorio and Genoveva Torres.
Daddy was born in Devine, Tx and worked as a ranch foreman until we moved to the city where he worked as a steelworker. He is the end of his generation, preceded in death by his brothers and sisters. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
He was more than just a father, but played both parts of a parent trying to raise his four children on his own. Every night he would pray for his children, never asking for himself. He loved his children unconditionally and had the greatest love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He sacrificed a lot for us and now he can rest and dance with the angels.
Though he may be gone, he survives in the hearts of those who loved him. Thank you for being a father and thank you for being a mentor.

Manuel is preceded in death by his Father, Gregorio Torres, Mother, Genoveva Torres, Son, Gregorio Torres, 2 Brothers, and 5 Sisters.
He is survived by his beloved family which includes his Three Sons, Manuel Lafuente Torres, Jr., Edmundo Torres, Roberto Torres; Three Daughters-in-law, Maria Marquez Torres, Enedelia Torres, Alejandra Torres; Daughter, Paulita Torres Montez; Son-in-law, Edward Montez; Three Granddaughters, Jennifer & Alex Hutson, Rachel Torres Mabe, Karilyn Torres & Ryan; Seven Grandsons, Manuel Lafuente Torres, III, Lee Torres Mata, III, Gregory Torres & Racheal Mata, Steven Daniel Kay, Victor & Krystal Blanco, Juan Torres, Edmundo Torres Jr. & Abby; Great-grandchildren, Benny, Mariah, Noah, Jonah, Emily, Riley, Londyn, Oliver, Natalie, Orion, Analia, Mila; Numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 23, 2023, 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas with a Evening Service beginning at 6:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, 10:00 am at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home.
The Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.

Manuel Lafuente Torres, de 97 años de Cleveland entró en descanso eterno el 7 de junio de 2023. Nació el 3 de febrero de 1926 hijo de Gregorio y Genoveva Torres.
Papa nació en Devine, Tx y trabajó como capataz de rancho hasta que nos mudamos a la ciudad donde trabajó como obrero siderúrgico. El es el fin de su generación, precedido en la muerte por sus hermanos y hermanas. Falleció en paz en su casa rodeado de su familia.
Era más que solo un padre, interpretó muy bien el papel de padre y madre al criar a sus cuatro hijos por su cuenta. Todas las noches orába por sus hijos, nunca pidiendo por sí mismo. Amaba incondicionalmente a sus hijos y tenía el mayor amor por sus nietos y bisnietos.
Se sacrificó mucho por nosotros y ahora puede descansar y bailar con los ángeles.
Aunque se haya ido, sobrevive en los corazones de aquellos que lo amaban. Gracias por ser padre y gracias por ser mentor.
Con todo nuestro amor, siempre te extrañaremos.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el viernes 23 de junio de 2023, de 3:00 pm a 8:00 pm en la Funeraria Felix H. Morales, Houston, Texas, con un servicio vespertino que comenzará a las 6:00 pm.
Se llevará a cabo un servicio funerario el sábado 24 de junio de 2023 a las 10:00 am en la Funeraria Felix H. Morales.
El sepelio seguirá en el cementerio Forest Park Lawndale.
