Doctor Marc Abel Alexandre passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024 at the age of 83 in Stamford Hospital, Stamford, CT. He was born on November 11, 1941 in Fonds Verrettes, Haiti. He was the first son and third child of the couple, Jean Marie Alexandre and his spouse, Marie Emile Paul Alexandre, deceased. Dr. Alexandre, formerly of Kissimmee, Florida, attended Petit Seminar St. Martial in Port au Prince, Haiti, after his graduation from that prestigious school, he enrolled in law school in the same city. While in law school we worked for Haitian Immigration and Emigration. In 1967, he left Haiti for a better opportunity in the United States. He settled in Manhattan, New York. He was married and divorced. Soon after, he decided to enroll in medical school at the Universidad Popular Autonoma Del Estado de Puebla, Mexico and graduated in September 1981 in Medical Sciences. After graduating he returned to the States. He worked at Lebanon Hospital in Bronx, New York for more than two decades. After retirement he went to live in Kissimmee, Central Florida.
Dr. Alexandre enjoyed watching soccer that we called football in Haiti and Info Bertho on YouTube. He lived his life to the fullest. He is preceded in death by both his parents, Jean Marie Alexandre and Marie Emilie Alexandre, nee Paul, his sisters, Anne Marie Charles, Julienne Alexandre and Marie Emilienne Casseus. He is survived by his brothers, Jean Neker Alexandre, Paul Cospen Edouard, his sisters, Marie Altana Vital and Felicita Amalia. He has several nieces and nephews: Margareth Bazin, Marie Nirva Francillon, Slande Vital, Marie Michelle Vital, Miolmida Casseus Seide, Bethsabee Casseus, Magdaline Casseus, Elpedia Casseus, aka, Louloune, Gina Alexandre, Miriam Alexandre, Croilot Adames Semexan, Johnny Alexandre, Ken Vital, Edson Casseus, Ruben Casseus, and Vladimir Charles, and his brother-in-law, Antonio Casseus. A special thanks to two friends and family members, Altanas Derosena and Robert Derogene.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 20th from 4pm – 8pm at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am on Saturday, December 21st at St. Cecilia Church, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien, CT.
