Marc Joel Boisvenue

Marc J. Boisvenue, age 66 of Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Greenwood Health and Living following a brief illness. He was born September 6, 1955 in Saint Louis, Missouri the son of Rudolph J. and Mary (Masaro) Boisvenue. Marc was a 1974 graduate of Greenfield Central High School. Marc had been a devoted member of Indianapolis Baptist Temple since 1986. He married Melinda Kaye Towe on January 6, 1989 and shared over 33 years of marriage together. Marc most recently worked in maintenance at Garrity Tool Company for 15 years, until he retired in 2019. Before working at Garrity Tool Company, he worked for Enterprise Car Company from 1990 to 2004. For over 28 years, Marc volunteered in nursing home ministry. Marc enjoyed traveling, playing his bass guitar, and reading. He was very active in the Praise Band at his church. Marc loved his family, his church, and The Lord most of all.
Marc's family includes wife, Melinda Kay Boisvenue of Indianapolis; 4 siblings, Mary (husband Jim) Burton of Indianapolis, Michelle Lafluer of Oklahoma City, OK, Martin (wife Melanie) Boisvenue of Knightstown, and Michael Boisvenue of Bloomington; 14 nieces and nephews; and 16 great nieces and nephews. Marc is preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service celebrating Marc's life will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Indianapolis Baptist Temple (4002 East Southport Road, Indianapolis, IN 46237) with Pastor Matt Roller officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greenwood. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home (925 East Hanna Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46227).
