Marc Talbot

Marc A. Talbot, 76, of Gloucester, formerly of Salem and Beverly, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25th at Kaplan House in Danvers. Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Edmond H. "Ted" and Dolores Lorraine "Teddy" (Provost) Talbot.
He was a 1967 graduate of Beverly High School. After high school, he graduated from the Andover Institute of Business, earning a degree in 1969. For many years, he worked as a Service Advisor at several North Shore auto businesses, including most recently at North Shore Volkswagen in Beverly. He took significant pride not only in the job that he performed but also in helping the people that he met. His pride extended beyond work and into the communities that he lived in. He worked tirelessly with individuals with mental health challenges and volunteered as a tour guide for Essex River Cruises. In his free time, he indulged his passions for collecting baseball cards, coins, and antiques; searching for treasures with his metal detector; and enjoying a good Italian sub from Super Sub in Beverly. He loved nature and enjoyed spending time searching for salamanders or bird watching with his daughters.
He is survived by his two daughters, Tara White and her husband Rick of Gloucester and Holly Talbot and her husband Shane Dodge of Hamilton; two sisters, Janet Tannebring and her husband Jeff of Wenham and Anne Gustaferro and her husband Jay of Gloucester; two brothers, Edmond H. Talbot Jr., of Gloucester and James P. Talbot and his wife Denise of Hampstead, NC; his former spouse, Debra A. Talbot of Beverly; and many cherished friends.
