Marcella Ann (Reddick) Edwards was received into the arms of her Savior on Friday, January 3, 2025 in Franklin, IN. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her family.
Marcella was born July 26, 1933 in Crawfordsville, IN to Clarence and Edna Reddick. She grew up in Sheridan, IN where she graduated from high school in 1951. She married John K. Edwards on February 3, 1956. He lovingly survives.
Marcella proudly worked for Western Electric/AT&T in Indianapolis for 29 years, retiring in 1985. She was an active volunteer of the AT&T Pioneers Club through the mid 1990's. She was also a member of Post Road Christian Church in Indianapolis where she served the church in many ways for over 20 years.
Marcella loved gathering with her family for holidays and special occasions where she would serve her famous homemade noodles and other family favorites. Marcella was an avid sports fan, especially basketball and Colts football. She rarely missed a Colts game. She loved to reminisce about her travels with her husband and children over the years. She was never one to sit still and always kept herself busy taking care of her family.
Marcella is survived by siblings Mary Rose Martin, Linda Lue Lewis, Beverly Teuscher, and Richard Reddick; sons Jerry (Julie) Edwards and Scott Edwards (Cari Van Senus); Grandchildren Nicole Edwards, Amanda Edwards, and Jacob Edwards.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Virginia Miller, Phyllis Manier, and Nancy Sue Morris; brothers Carroll Reddick, Alonzo Reddick, William Reddick, and Donald Gene Reddick; and a granddaughter, Kristen Edwards.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park East Funeral Center, located at 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229.
Marcella's funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Chaplain Tom Bartley will officiate.
Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
