Marcia C Reed, age 76, of Wells, Maine passed away on August 6, 2025 at Gosnell Hospice
house in Scarborough.
She was born on June 6, 1949 in Fall River, Mass to Barbara and Kenneth Holt. Marcia was
beloved spouse, parent, grandparent, and sister who touched the lives of everyone around her.
She married Robert Reed on June 19, 1970 and together they shared 49 years of love and
companionship.
Marcia had a passion for cooking and collecting recipes, spending time with her sisters and
grandchildren and her many cats over the years. She will be remembered for her kindness and
sweet demeanor.
She is survived by five children, son Jeffrey Reed, son Christian Reed and wife Celyn Reed,
daughter Amy Bourque and husband Scott Bourque, son Stephen Reed and wife Casey Welch,
youngest son David Reed, seven grandchildren and two sisters Jean Marsh and Carolyn Mack,
preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) Reed.
A memorial service will be held on 8/18 at 3pm at Crossroads United Methodist Church, 16
Grammar Road, Sanford, ME.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gosnell House in Scarborough in Marcia Reed's
honor.
The family would like to thank the staff at Gosnell House and the ICU at SMHC in Biddeford for
their support during this time.
