Marcus Harrison Obituary

On April 25, 2025, Marcus Lamar Harrison took the hand of the Lord and entered His presence-a place of perfect peace and everlasting joy. A beloved son, father, brother, and friend, Marcus departed this life at the age of 40, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering strength.
Born on December 7, 1984, in Wilmington, Delaware, Marcus spent his life bringing light and laughter to everyone around him. A protector at heart, he was always looking out for those he loved. His infectious smile lit up every room, and his sense of humor was endless-he was a jokester through and through.
Marcus had a deep love for basketball, the beach, fishing, bringing people together, and for spending time with his children and family. He was the kind of person you could always call when you needed to talk-he just knew how to lift your spirits or make you laugh, no matter what.
He is survived by his parents, Eric Delfyette (Michelle Delfyette) and Iris Garnett (Tim Garnett); his children, Marcus Harrison, Jr., Shawn Harrison, and Mariana Harrison; his siblings, Erica Harrison (Robert Riddick), Erin Harrison, Amy Delfyette, and Eric Delfyette, Jr.; and the loving mothers of his children, Thelma Meeks and Erikka Loper. He is also survived by half and step-siblings, his cherished nieces and nephews, along with many other relatives and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Though he has left this world, Marcus continues to watch over us-our protector still-even in his eternal peace.
Viewing will be Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. followed by a Celebration of Life at 10:00 A.M. at House of Wright Mortuary, 208 East 35th St., Wilmington, DE. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Wilmington, DE. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
Final care and compassionate services are being provided to the family by the professional staff of Tucker Funerals and Cremations, 415 Halifax Street, Petersburg, VA, (804) 324-5529. www.tuckerfunerals.com.
