Obituary of Margaret R Ayer
Margaret R. Ayer (Giuffrida) passed away Sunday March 3, 2024 at Beth Israel Deaconess
Hospital in Plymouth. She was the beloved wife of Michael R. Ayer for fifty-one loving years. Born in Dorchester, MA she was the daughter of the late Sebastian and Margaret (Sanphy) Giuffrida. Margaret was a long-time resident of Kingston, MA.
She earned her nursing degree at Katherine Laboure School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years atSouth Shore Hospital, Jordan Hospital, Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA, and Mass General.
She and Michael enjoyed many Caribbean cruises over the years and loved spending summers at the beach in Salisbury, MA. She loved to watch her grandchildren play football, basketball, and do gymnastics. She also enjoyed competing with them in a friendly game of cards or memory.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Katie Jodoin and her husband James of Cumberland RI, Kerry McDonough and her husband William of Whitman MA as well as three grandchildren, Liam, Sydney, and Jack. She was also the loving sister of 4 siblings and many cousins.
A service mass will be held for Margaret Ayer on April 6, 2024 at St. Joseph's in Kingston at 10:00 am.
