Margaret (Margo) Molyneaux (Snell) Hepler cherished wife, mother,
grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister,
aunt, and friend died October 4, 2025, at the age of 101. Margo was
born on May 22, 1924, in Hamilton, Ontario to the late Joseph W. and
Aldyth (Marks) Snell.
A gifted musician, Margo attended many schools on the East Coast in
her youth graduating in 1943 from Dobbs Ferry High School in Dobbs
Ferry, New York. She was unable to accept a scholarship offered to
Juilliard School in New York returning instead to live with her mother in Miami, Florida.
There she worked for a local bank and served as a USO hostess during WWII and met
her husband Ernest L. Hepler, Sr. who was training as a B-29 waist gunner in the U.S.
Army Air Corps. Following WWII, Margo and Ernie worked and raised their family while
residing in Gratz and Sunbury, Pennsylvania and Miami, Hollywood, Ft. Lauderdale, and
Ft. Pierce, Florida and finally Taylors, South Carolina. Margo graduated from Indian
River Community College in Ft. Pierce and attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca
Raton, Florida.
Margo and Ernie were active members of a protestant church in each community they
lived and made many lifelong friendships. Professionally, Margo worked as a bank
bookkeeper, school secretary, and as an entrepreneur co-owning a driving school and
cleaning business.
Margo is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 60 years, Ernest L. Hepler Sr.,
her parents, her sister Claire (Garret) Plumblee, her brothers' Thomas (Joanne
Brandon) Snell, and Joseph (Grace Ann Carefoot) Snell Jr. She is survived by her three
children, Ernest L. (Carol Skinner), Barbara K. (Richard) King, Fredrick W., five
grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren. Margo (our
family's beloved GG) leaves a lasting imprint on each of the lives of her descendant
generations: the glee and excitement forever found in memories of a child's anticipation;
smiles and fond recollections of past camping trips, indulgences of time, fascinating
gifts, limitless pairs of sunglasses, weekend yard sales and a never-ending search for
bargains, long walks and a tennis match or two, interesting clothes with lively colors and
imprinted objects, a fascination with cooking (without recipe), a natural love to talk and
give advice, and an intense spiritual foundation steeped in God's love through Jesus
Christ that she shared with purpose to everyone. Margo truly never met anyone whom
she considered a stranger or was unwilling to share the excitement of her everyday life.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday October 14, 2025 at Raymond Funeral Service P.A from 5pm to 8pm with internment
to follow at a date to be determined in Arlington National Cemetery with her beloved
husband. Memorial Contributions can Be made to the Fisher House Foundation Inc, PO Box 791598 Baltimore MD 21279 www.fisherhouse.org or Maranatha Bible Church ARC Building Fund, 900 S. Broadway, Lantana FL 33462,www.maranathabible.com in memory of Margo.
"He's coming see he's coming
And his arms are open wide
I'm running yes I'm running
I must hurry to his side
This time the battles over
There'll be others this I know
But I'm standing on his promise
That he'll never let me go
I'm standing on his promises
He says I am his own
He'll keep me ever faithful
And he'll take me safely home
I'll stand before my father
In his righteousness arrayed
For my only hope and glory
Is the sacrifice he made"
