Margaret Theresa Jezek, 96, of Pilot Point, TX, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Denton, TX. Margaret was born February 27, 1925 in Pilot Point, TX to Henry Simmel and Annie S. Hilz. Margaret married John James Jezek on February 17, 1947, in Pilot Point, TX.
Margaret grew up on a farm named Pecan Grove. Where her parents farmed and tended an orchard and berry vines. The Simmel's were well known for their fruits and large berries which they sold to their community. Margaret resided in Pilot Point, TX, all her life until 2018 when she went to live at The Vintage in Denton, TX.
Margaret loved her family, her community, and growing flowers. She not only took care of her family, but she also worked at Russell-Newman, and Olsen's. Margaret retired from Victor Equipment Company in 1994.
Margaret loved her church. She was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Her favorite Bible chapter was Psalms 26. Her favorite song and prayer were How Great Thou Art and the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi. Margaret's family will miss her very much and cherish their memories forever.
Margaret is survived by her sons, John H. Jezek and wife Vickie of Aubrey, TX, Dan R. Jezek and wife Terri of Tioga, TX, Jim B Jezek and wife Tina of Denton, TX, Tim F. Jezek of Pilot Point, TX, and Mike L. Jezek and wife Amy of Crockett, TX; eleven grandchildren, Nicole Lane and husband Chad, Chase Jezek and wife Cassye, Adam Jezek and Blair McCage, Josh Jezek and wife Melissa, Jacob Jezek and wife Amy, Jozey Jezek, Jason Jezek, Jack Jezek and wife Brittany, Cord Jezek, Lynna Jezek and husband Sean Morgan, and Lillian Jezek; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Henry and Annie; grandson, Christopher Marc Jezek; and sisters, Marie Berend and Clara Jezek.
Rosary with visitation following will be 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, October 29, 2021 at Slay Memorial Chapel held in Aubrey, TX. A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, October 30, 2021 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point, TX with Fr. John Martin officiating. Interment will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery in Pilot Point, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Thomas Catholic Church – Altar Society.
