Bloomfield – Margaret Rose (White) Lipnicky, age 88, left this world on Sunday, November 2, 2025. She will forever be remembered for her radiant smile, flair for fun and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Born in Surrey, England, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Black) White, Margaret excelled academically and athletically and was known for lighting up every room she entered. After meeting her beloved US Marine, Terry Lipnicky, she embarked on a grand adventure to the United States, where they married in 1966 in Jacksonville, NC. The couple lived in North Carolina and Pennsylvania, before settling in Rochester and later in Bloomfield NY.
Margaret loved singing with the Finger Lakes Chorale, where she made lifelong friends. She found joy in painting, reading, spending time with others, sharing laughter and stories that left lasting impressions.
Margaret is lovingly remembered by two daughters, Donella (Bruce) Pogue and Shelagh Lipnicky (John Amon); her adored grandsons, Tyler Lipnicky, Daniel White and Justin Pogue; sister, Susan Payne (John Hulke); many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Terry J. Lipnicky, in 2021.
Margaret's kindness, creativity and zest for life have left indelible marks on the hearts of all who knew her. As she entered heaven, we're certain she was greeted with the words from Matthew 25:21, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant enter thou into the joy of thy Lord".
A celebration of life gathering to be announced, will be held in the summer of 2026. Interment will be in St. Bridget's Cemetery, Bloomfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Hands of Hope Kitchen (Food Pantry), PO Box 429, Bloomfield, NY 14469. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomfield.
