Margaret Vespe "Margie" Morrison, age 63 of Crestwood, Kentucky passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025. Margie was born February 26, 1962 in Queens, NY to the late Matthew and Margaret Vespe. Margie was very intelligent and always did so well in school. She had a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, and was always extremely good with math and numbers. She worked as a financial associate at West Minster Bank headquarters before becoming a full time mother.
Our mother was the best mom. She always put her children above all, very caring. Her life was dedicated to the people she loved. She took care of us and then both her parents until the time of their passing. She rarely ever took time for herself. She loved to go shopping but would only ever buy things for others, such as her children, husband and parents.
She loved animals as well as all of God’s creatures. She had animals her whole life, from dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, fish and even a turtle at one point. Would always stop while driving if she saw an animal that looked to be injured or lost. She was a big lover of plants, and was so good at caring for them. She was always so on top of things. Always got things done even through hard times. Her memory was incredible, remembered every little detail.
She made our house feel like a home. With her amazing meals and always going above and beyond for every Holiday or even small occasion. She was the glue of our family, the person we would all go to if we ever needed advice or had any questions. She will be missed dearly.
Margie is survived by her loving husband of almost 34 years, William; children, Christian, Melanie and Michaela Morrison; grandson, Matteo Morrison; brothers, Robert Vespe (Maryrose) and Joseph Vespe (Laura); nieces, Joanne Kelly and Christine D'Addario; and a host of family and friends.
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 855 Carmans Road, Massapequa Park, NY 11762, with burial to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
