Margaret Twiggs Obituary
Margaret A. "Peggy" Twiggs, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, July 7th, 2024 with her wife Denise by her side.
Margaret was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School and she was employed at Boston University and later at the Joseph Moakley Court House as a Probation Clerk until 2010.
Margaret was known in the Drum Corps. for her groundbreaking work in the Color Guard of the 27th Lancers and the Cadets. She was inducted into several Hall of Fames, including the Drum Corps International Hall of Fame in 2005, the Cadets Hall of Fame in 2002, WGI in 2017 and Massachusetts Hall of Fame in 2012.
Margaret leaves behind her wife Denise Pelissey of Everett and her canine companions, Carly & Simon. She is the sister of Frank Twiggs and his wife Joelle of Hampton Bays, NY and Thomas Twiggs and his late wife Kathy Twiggs of ME & FL. Margaret is survived by several loving nieces and nephews: Jessica Durham and husband Beau, Kerry Lee and husband Mark, Kristin McLaughlin and husband Mike and Thomas Twiggs Jr. and several loving great-nieces, great-nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

My memory of meeting Peggy was in 1966, as we were both members of the Drum and Bugle Corps, Reveries and Lancers. She was the best of the best in creating and instructing color guard design. I was sorry to hear of her passing and would like to express my deepest sympathy to her brothers Fran and Tom and their families. Bob Moylon

We met back in the early 70's when she, George Z, Sully, George O, and I were some of the youngest attendants at those winter M.A.A. (judges) seminars.
I cherish my many years of memories of her and with her, especially when she was on "Gahfield's" staff. We've spoken by phone during the past year. May she rest now in peace with my prayers, admiration, and affection.
