Margarita Martinez Perez entered eternal rest on July 2, 2025 at the age of 79. She was born on August 7, 1945 in Slaton, Texas to Juan and Edubiges (Torres) Martinez.
Margarita Perez, a woman of deep faith, boundless love, and a heartwarming smile, passed away peacefully and is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Gregorio Perez. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Margarita's life was a testament to the power of prayer, love, and family.
Known for her radiant smile that could light up a room and make anyone feel instantly cared for, Margarita brought joy and comfort to those around her. Her cooking was legendary, filling hearts and homes with warmth, and her unwavering faith made her a true prayer warrior-always ready with words of encouragement and strength.
She found joy in the simple things: spending cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, listening to country and southern gospel music as she prayed, and living each day with grace and compassion. Her love was felt deeply and freely by all who knew her, and her gentle spirit touched countless lives.
Margarita is preceded in death by her parents, brother Juan, and Sister Elizabeth and her beloved husband, Gregorio Perez. She is survived by her loving daughter, Mary Perez Almendarez; her son, Lupe Perez and his wife Elizabeth; her dear sisters, Paula Rico, Cruz Carrasco, and Lydia Tristan. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Illianna Perez, Faith Garcia, and Isaac Perez; and her adored great-grandchildren, Lucas Jacobo and Alana Garcia.
Margarita will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on through the many lives she touched. There is comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of the Lord and reunited with her beloved Gregorio. Truly one of a kind, there will never be another like her.
