Marguerite Ann Maples-Logsdon, born on February 17, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky, and a cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, in her beloved hometown. Marguerite led a life rich in love and dedication, marked by her commitment to family, hard work, and treasured memories.
A proud graduate of Southern High School, class of 1966, Marguerite spent 35 fulfilling years at Kroger, where she made lasting friendships and endeared herself to many through her work in the deli department. After retiring, she embraced her life with great spirit, always striving to make the best of every situation.
Marguerite's family was her heart. She lived with her sister, Kathy Roberts, and her brother-in-law, Paul, for the last five and a half years, demonstrating her deep devotion to family bonds. Though Marguerite did not have children of her own, she adored her nephew, Johnny Fellonneau, and treated him as her own, forming a close relationship that carried on to his daughter, Bristol, whom she loved like a granddaughter. Her unique and spunky personality, combined with an original perspective on life, endeared her to all who met her.
A lover of talk radio and everything Disney, Marguerite made multiple trips to Disney World with her late husband, William David Logsdon, and her last trip to Disney with Johnny's family. An avid reader and an enthusiast of old movies, she filled her life with joy and laughter, sharing stories and experiences that will be fondly remembered by her loved ones. Marquerite was also a long-time member of The Moose Lodge #5 on Fegenbush Lane, where she met her husband, David.
Marguerite is preceded in death by her parents, George Maples and Alfreda "Fritzy" Maples, her birth was a saving grace after the loss of two baby boys. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William David Logsdon. She leaves behind her sister Kathy (Paul) Roberts, nephew Johnny (Kelly) Fellonneau, great niece Bristol, nephews, Bernie and Steven Fellonneau, and a host of family who will miss her dearly.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Marguerite's life during visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by a Mass at 1:00 PM on October 22, 2025, at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church, located at 6105 S 3rd St, Louisville, KY 40214. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville.
Marguerite Ann Maples-Logsdon's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will resonate in the hearts of all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marguerite's memory may be made to Saint Thomas More Catholic Church.
