Maria Elizabeth Guetling

Maria Elizabeth (Kempf) Guetling, 31, of Evansville, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025, as the result of a traffic accident.
Maria was born on August 30, 1993, in Evansville to Mark and Ann (Kreilein) Kempf. She was a 2012 graduate of Mater Dei High School and worked as a registered nurse with Women's Healthcare, PC. Maria was very crafty. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and embroidery, but more than anything loved being a mother to her two sons.
Surviving Maria are her husband of six years, Justin Guetling; her two sons, Jasen and Matthew Guetling; her parents, Mark and Ann Kempf; sisters, Rachel (Tim) Bulso, Gabrielle Kempf and Alyssa Kempf; brothers, Zachary Kempf and Joshua Kempf, her paternal grandmother, Pauline Kempf and maternal grandparents, Ed and Nancy Kreilein. Also surviving Maria are her mother-in-law, Brenda Guetling; sister-in-law, Tiffany Mettle; brother-in-law, Charlie (Jenny) Guetling, many nieces and nephews.
Maria was preceded in death by her grandfather, Arthur Kempf and by her father-in-law, David Guetling.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Resurrection Catholic Church, Rev. Jerry Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 until 6:00 PM on Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service held at 6:00 PM. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:00 AM until service time on Monday at Resurrection Catholic Church, 5301 New Harmony Road, Evansville, IN 47720.
