Maria was a dedicated homemaker, known for her unwavering commitment to her family and her home. Her kind spirit and nurturing heart touched the lives of many, and she will be remembered fondly for her warmth and generosity.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and two sisters.
Maria is survived by her cherished family; two daughters: Zorita Pernes, and Mariana Pernes and husband Gelu; one son Nelu "John" Pernes; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends; who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
A time of remembrance and celebration of Maria's life will be held at Pitts Chapel on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Slagle Cemetery Slagle, MO. Visitation will be held Friday, August 22, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory of her remarkable life. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
May she rest in eternal peace.
