In Loving Memory of Marie Hiotis-Petroutsas
May 31, 1941 – April 21, 2025
Marie Hiotis-Petroutsas, 83, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Flushing, New York, on May 31, 1941, Marie lived a life marked by compassion, resilience, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear. She was a proud and loving mother, adoring grandmother, loyal sister, and treasured aunt. Her strength, generosity, and fierce love for her family were the foundation of her life - a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Marie is survived by her loving sister Carole Tsadilas, and devoted brother John Bardunias; her beloved children Evanthia Hiotis, Theodore Hiotis, and Stelios Hiotis; and her cherished grandchildren Alexa Hiotis, Gianna Hiotis, Elena Alfonso, Nikko Hiotis, and Benny Alfonso - each of whom brought her endless pride and joy. Her presence was a light in their lives, her wisdom a constant guide, and her love a bond that can never be broken.
A viewing will be held Friday, April 25, 2025, 9:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM at Saint Mark Greek Orthodox Church, 2100 Yamato Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33431. Marie will be laid to rest directly afterwards at Boca Raton Mausoleum, 451 SW 4th Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33432, where she will be remembered with love and honor.
We will always remember and live by Yiayia's words - "The sky's the limit."
