Marie Reynolds, 89, of Maryville, IL, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born March 1, 1934, in Collinsville, IL, to Antonio and Mary (nee Caronia) Davi. On January 10, 1953, she married the love of her life, Lloyd Reynolds, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, in Collinsville, IL.
Marie lived in Collinsville her entire life until she and Lloyd moved into the house he built for them in Maryville in 1955. She was an active member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, IL, then a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, in Maryville, IL, in her later years. Before Lloyd's passing in 1997 Marie enjoyed traveling with her husband to Hawaii, the Bahamas, and Fort Meyers, FL.
She was a fantastic cook who loved to cook big dinners for her entire family during the holidays. In her free time, Marie was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, loved music and going to the zoo or the botanical gardens. Marie loved her family more than anything, she was a treasured mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Lloyd Reynolds; her parents, Antonio and Mary Davi; son, Michael Reynolds; brother, Steven Davi.
Marie is survived by her children, Linda Busch, Kenneth (Riché) Reynolds, Gary (Billy Hogan) Reynolds; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Rosalie Frey, Josephine Beckman; nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.
Visitation: Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, at Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL.
Funeral Mass: Thursday, December 14, 2023, 11:00 AM, Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, IL.
Clergy: Fr. Michael Haag
Interment: Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
