Marilyn Elaine Bexten

Obituary
Marilyn E. Bexten, age 90, of Temperance, Michigan passed away Wednesday August 9, 2023, at the Kingston Skilled Nursing, Sylvania, OH. She was born in Toledo, to Patricia and Paul Shurtz May 28, 1933. She graduated from Whitmer High School in 1951. Marilyn married Leo A. Bexten, June 1957 and raised two sets of twins together. She was a 60-year member of Zion Lutheran Church. As a cancer survivor she volunteered at the Discovery Shop, which is a supporter for cancer research. Marilyn was also a member of the Toledo Mothers of Twins Club and Glass City Mothers of Multiples. Family was very important to Marilyn she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by her loving family, twins, daughter, Jill Joiner and Jeff Bexten and twins Tim and Todd Bexten, grandchildren, Arielle Bexten, Danielle Schettler and Derek Hartsell, great grandchildren, Gabriella Schettler, Lexi Schettler, sister, Doris (Larry) Przeslawski, sister-in-law, Doris (Roger) Sankowski, special niece, April Jacobsen and nephew, Scott Przeslawski.
She was preceded in death by, parents, husband Leo, in 2006, one sister and one brother.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, OH., Friday August 11, 2023, from 4-8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Ottawa Lake, MI Saturday August 12, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. Interment to follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery, Ottawa Lake, Michigan.
